Meet Our Team
Adam Weimerskirch
Born and raised in Ohio with a lifelong love of the water, Adam Weimerskirch discovered early on the value of service, perseverance, and connection. After high school, he embarked on a career in the United States Coast Guard, dedicating over 25 years to protecting and supporting others. His career included two overseas deployments in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom, as well as humanitarian missions, including disaster relief during Hurricane Katrina. Following his time in Ohio, Adam served in Virginia and Hawaii, eventually settling in Washington State in 2018, where he and his team provided security for United States Navy submarines.
Adam’s life took a transformative turn after meeting the Executive Director of Cross the Divide and attending a backpacking event. That experience sparked a renewed spiritual focus that now shapes both his personal and professional life. Inspired by this journey, Adam has made it his mission to support fellow veterans — helping them navigate the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs disability claims process, offering encouragement, and walking alongside them in seasons of transition.
Outside of his service, Adam is deeply connected to the outdoors and hands-on pursuits, including hiking, woodworking, offloading, and spending time on the water. At home, he is grounded by his wife and two sons, who inspire him daily and reinforce the importance of faith, family, and legacy.
Serving Cross the Divide Washington State as a guide, Adam is privileged to introduce veterans and their families to the restorative power of nature, creating opportunities for reflection, healing, and connection. Through these experiences, he helps others discover hope, purpose, and renewed strength, living out a life of service that extends far beyond the uniform.
